CapCut Still Showing “Join Pro” After You’ve Paid — How to Actually Fix It

If you’ve paid for CapCut Pro but the app still shows “Join Pro,” is missing Pro features after login, or won’t recognize your subscription on a second device, this is almost always an account mismatch, not a billing problem — your payment likely went through fine; CapCut just isn’t connecting it to the account you’re currently logged into.
The Actual Cause, Ranked by Likelihood
Most common — logged into a different account than the one that purchased. CapCut Pro is tied to the specific login (email, TikTok, Google, or Apple) used at time of purchase. If you’ve ever switched login methods, reinstalled and logged in differently, or use CapCut on multiple devices with different accounts, this is almost certainly it.
Second — the app hasn’t synced your subscription status yet. This happens most often right after purchase, or when moving from mobile to desktop — the purchase is real, but the app needs an explicit “Restore Purchase” trigger to pull that status down rather than detecting it automatically.
Third — corrupted local cache/config. Less common, but can block subscription recognition even with the correct account logged in.
Fourth — a genuine login bug (can’t sign in with TikTok/Google/Apple at all). This is a different problem from subscription recognition — if you can’t log in at all, skip to the network/update checks below rather than troubleshooting subscription status.
Fix #1: Confirm the Account, Then Restore Purchase
This resolves the large majority of cases and takes under a minute.
- Confirm you’re logged into the exact account (email/TikTok/Google/Apple) you used when you originally purchased Pro. If you’re not sure which one that was, check your payment receipt/confirmation email — it should show which method was billed.
- In CapCut: Me → Pro / Join Pro → Restore Purchase.
- Wait for verification — this can take up to a minute, don’t force-close the app immediately.
Fix #2: If You Need Pro on a Second Device
Log into the same account on the new device, then run Restore Purchase there too — subscriptions don’t auto-propagate across devices without this step, even on the correct account.
Fix #3: Clear Cache (Not Full Data) Before Reinstalling
- Android: Settings → Apps → CapCut → Storage → Clear Cache.
- Try Restore Purchase again before going further — this alone fixes cases where cached config was blocking recognition.
- If it doesn’t help, a full reinstall is next: back up any local projects first, uninstall, reinstall from the official store, log in, and restore purchase again.
Fix #4: Rule Out Network/Update Issues
- Confirm you’re on the latest CapCut version (Play Store/App Store → Update).
- Temporarily disable VPN or firewall software — subscription verification requires a clean connection to CapCut’s servers, and VPNs in particular can interfere with this check.
- A simple logout → login cycle can also force a refresh of your subscription status without a full reinstall.
If Nothing Above Works
Contact CapCut Support via Me → Settings → Feedback, and include: the account email/username, proof of purchase (receipt), your app version and device model, and a screenshot showing Pro features missing. Support can manually check your subscription against their billing records, which none of the steps above can do from your end.
Avoiding This Going Forward
Stick to one account across all your devices, run Restore Purchase after any reinstall (don’t assume it’ll sync automatically), and keep the app updated — most of these issues trace back to an account switch or a skipped restore step, not a genuine billing failure.
